AC/DC: Sees Two Of Their Biggest Hits Reach Momentous Milestones At The Same Time…

AC/DC regularly occupies several spaces on charts in countries like America and the U.K. These nations each have companies that publish dozens of weekly rankings of the most popular, most-streamed, and bestselling songs and albums in different formats and genres, which provide plenty of opportunities for the beloved Australian rockers to land hits and successful full-lengths.

This week is another normal one for the globe-dominating band, as they see several smashes find a home on one chart or another. This frame is special, though, for about half of their charting smashes, as two of their most memorable tunes reach milestones as they continue to perform well.

“Back in Black” scores one of the most impressive showings among all of AC/DC’s current hits in the U.K. The single has now lived on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart for 600 weeks, as of this frame.

AC/DC has now seen two tracks make it to 600 weeks on the Official Rock & Metal Singles tally. “Thunderstruck” beats “Back in Black” by just about a month, as it’s up to 604 frames on the list of the top-selling rock, hard rock, and metal tunes in the country.

Speaking of “Thunderstruck,” that’s the other AC/DC tune that’s celebrating this time around. The smash, which is widely regarded as the band’s biggest in many respects, hits 400 weeks on the Official Singles Sales chart as it returns to that roster.

“Thunderstruck” breaks onto two tallies this week, reappearing on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. The cut has spent even more time on the latter roster, as it’s now up to 413 frames somewhere on the 100-spot list of the most-downloaded tracks in the United Kingdom.
