The Week 11 college football slate features a plethora of big-time conference matchups, like No. 11 Alabama versus No. 14 LSU, No. 21 Colorado versus Texas Tech and No. 2 Georgia versus No. 16 Ole Miss.
Despite being fresh off the Week 10 games, ESPN has already produced its updated predictions for the upcoming weekend.
The ESPN FPI rankings predicted a major upset in one of the Week 11 matchups.
This FPI model, which formally stands for Football Power Index, uses ESPN analytics to forecast game outcomes based on team strength, past performance and opponent analysis.
In the latest generated outcomes on the ESPN Matchup Predictor, which is calculated by the FPI, the Ole Miss Rebels have a 53.9% chance of defeating the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are heading into the week fresh off a 34-20 victory over the Florida Gators. Ole Miss also secured a big-time win in Week 10, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks 63-31. Georgia’s 7-1 on the year, while the Rebels are 6-2. The Bulldogs’ best win this season came against the No. 1 Texas Longhorns, while the Rebels have only played one ranked team, falling to the No. 13 LSU Tigers.
Despite the Bulldogs having a stronger resume, ESPN believes the Rebels hold the advantage in Week 11. Ole Miss is playing behind one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, Jaxson Dart. Dart has produced 21 touchdowns and 3,210 yards with a 71.7 completion percentage.
