Lady Vols basketball’s entire 2025 high school recruiting class was among the nominees announced Wednesday for the McDonald’s All-American game in April.

All five high school signees were nominated to the McDonald’s All-American East Team, and there were several hundred nominees announced for the game.

The final teams will be announced at a later date. Tennessee’s 2025 class includes twin point guards Mia and Mya Pauldo, Deniya Prawl, Jaida Civil and Lauren Hurst.

The 48th annual McDonald’s All-American games will be played at the Barclays Center in New York on April 1. The final rosters will include 12 players on each team.

The five signees make up the No. 2 signing class in the country, which is the highest-ranking high school recruiting class at Tennessee in seven years.

They are also only the second class since Pat Summitt coached Tennessee to have three players ranked in the top 35. In ESPN’s top 100 rankings, Mia Pauldo is No. 11, Prawl is No. 14, Civil is No. 32, Hurst is No. 42 and Mya Pauldo is No. 56.

Tennessee has not signed a McDonald’s All-American out of high school since Justine Pissott in 2022, although multiple McDonald’s All-Americans have transferred in like Rickea Jackson, Jillian Hollingshead, Talaysia Cooper and Ruby Whitehorn.

Before 2022, the Lady Vols hadn’t signed a high school McDonald’s All-American since Jordan Horston in 2019. The last time Tennessee signed multiple McDonald’s All-Americans out of high school was its 2018 class, which included three (Mimi Collins, Jazmine Massengill, Zaay Green). The 2025 class is Lady Vols coach Kim Caldwell’s first high school signing class at Tennessee. Caldwell said in November it will be “a great foundation” for the program.

“They are a class that can leave their mark here, and that was talked about at length in the recruiting process,” Caldwell said. “It was something they all embraced, and it’s something they all welcomed and wanted to be a part of.”
