Fabrizio Romano: Aston Villa Agree Deal to Sign ‘Outstanding’ Star

Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign Feyenoord youngster Zepiqueno Redmond ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It could be a busy window for the Villans after they unfortunately missed out on Champions League football. Adding to their attack could be a priority for the Midlands club, with Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, who arrived in January, only on loan for the second half of the season.

They are yet to complete permanent deals for the attacking duo, so we could see them move on to alternative targets. Not only will Villa be looking to bring in players to improve the senior squad, they will be hoping to add young stars from around Europe with high sell-onRedmond, described as ‘outstanding’, broke into the Feyenoord senior squad this season after impressing in the youth ranks. With his contract expiring this summer, Villa have now swooped in and secured his signature on a free transfer, beating other clubs from the UK and Italy to the signing.Despite his age, Redmond even made a couple of appearances in the Champions League for Feyenoord, and he’s clearly making an impact that has attracted clubs such as Villa. It would be a surprise to see Redmond fully involved with the senior squad next season, but it could be a smart addition for the future.
