Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz is a player Liverpool want to sign this summer. As previously reported by the ECHO, negotiations are ongoing between the Reds and the German side over a deal for the 22-year-old that is almost certain to smash the club record transfer of the Premier Leaguechampions.
Leverkusen value the Germany international at around €150 million, although there could be a compromise over the final fee. Bayern Munich had been considered the favourites to land the playmaker until updates emerged over the weekend.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that Jeremie Frimpong has touched down in the UK on a private jet as he prepares to complete his transfer from Leverkusen to Liverpool.
The Reds are closing in on a deal to sign the 24-year-old in a move that would bolster their options on the right side with Trent Alexander-Arnold set to depart this summer.
As well as incomings, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Caoimhin Kelleher have all been linked with moves away from Anfieldover the last few days.
