LINCOLN, NE.–The Indiana Hoosier men’s basketball team only made one of their final 18 shots and the Nebraska Cornhuskers pulled away to beat the Hoosiers 85-68 on Friday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
It’s the fourth straight win by Nebraska over Indiana dating back to last season. Nebraska closed the game on a 17-1 run. thanks, in part, to 30 points scored by Brice Williams. He made 10 of 15 shots.
The Hoosiers made only 8 of 35 three-point shot attempts (23%). That’s most ever by a Mike Woodson-coached IU team. Nebraska shot 61% from the field and made 8 of their 14 three-point shots (57%).
Up until 6 minutes in the second half, Indiana was within double digits of Nebraska. The game had five ties and six lead changes.
Indiana was led in scoring with 20 points while making 8 of 13 shots.
Indiana drops to 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten. Their next game is against Chattanooga on December 21 at noon. Pregame coverage starts at 11 am on 93.1 WIBC
