Illan Meslier confirms interest in joining Chelsea from Leeds this summer - but he must be first-choice | Goal.com Nigeria

He has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit, but recently lost his place in the starting XI to Joel Robles.

“Illan Meslier is free to leave Leeds if an offer in excess of £30million comes in for the goalkeeper,” according to the Daily Star (page 45, 26 June

Leeds have seemingly set the tone for Meslier’s future, with the club only going to listen to offers over £30million as they look to gain a huge profit on the player.

He may have fallen out of favour in the final stages of last season due to too many costly errors, but there is clearly a very talented goalkeeper there, and one that could thrive under the right circumstances.

After previously shining in the Premier League, the 23-year-old will not want to be playing in the Championship next season, with the goalkeeper wanting to push himself on the pitch at this stage of his career.

Meslier perhaps also has an international career with France to think about, with the shot-stopper undoubtedly hopeful of representing his nation at the likes of Euro 2024 and/or the 2026 World Cup.

It does, however, remain to be seen if a club will fork out £30million to sign the troubled goalkeeper this summer.
