Living outside of Leicester whether it’s amazing or merely different Real Betis, Sevilla, Aston Villa, and Spurs

Bouba Soumare has settled in at Sevilla, but he has only made two bench appearances that count, and his life appears to be continuing outside of the spotlight. The most recent game was an away contest against Barcelona, and Soumare remained in his bench seat the entire time. He is now vying for one of the two central midfield places against Joan Jordan and Djibril Sow.

His two outings thus far have both been as a substitute, against Almeria (5-0) and Las Palmas (1-0), both victories for Sevilla, who are now in 13th place and just two points above the relegation zone. Although his odds of starting from the beginning may be slim, life currently resembles Leicester in some ways.

With yesterday’s 6-1 victory moving Aston Villa up to fifth place in the Premier League, they are currently on a roll. However, Youri Tielemans, who has been viewed as a substitute player and entered yesterday’s game in the 90th minute, had little impact. He has played in 11 games so far—7 in the league, 3 in Europe, and 1 in the Carabao Cup—but is likely still not completely content with his role because it is rather peripheral.

James Maddison considers his move to Tottenham to be a major improvement. Under Ange Postecoglou, he has flourished in his position. Yesterday, he made some outstanding passes that have opened up Liverpool like a can of red tomatoes. With this Spurs team, which is presently ranked second after a 2-1 home victory yesterday, he has truly fit in.

At Real Betis, Ayoze Perez is currently in high demand, but the season’s start has probably not gone as planned. Rangers lost in Europe against Barca (0-5), and their most recent two games ended in 1-1 draws with Granada and Cadiz. In La Liga, Perez (30) has only ever scored one goal.

You should keep a watch on Caglar Soyuncu as well because he has only participated in two La Liga games while playing for Atletico Madrid. Jonny Evans (35), the captain of Northern Ireland, has no expectations of being a regular at Manchester United, but his performance in the 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Crystal Palace and the Premier League victory over Burnley demonstrates his value at Old Trafford.

Lewis Brunt moved to Mansfield Town, where his loan appears to be succeeding as the Stags are now in fifth place in League Two with 18 points, just two points behind the league-leading Notts County. Although Luke Thomas, who is on loan at Sheffield United, appears to be in for a season-long battle for relegation, he has been a fixture at Bramhall Lane and started yesterday’s 2-0 loss to West Ham. At Bologna, Victor Kristiansen was a second-half substitute in the team’s 0-0 road tie with Monza.
