Will Grier left the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad to join with the New England Patriots, which surprised many. That being said, Grier plainly saw a greater opportunity with the Patriots, so he made the right decision for himself.

With Joe Burrow’s injury and Jake Browning probably starting against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, the Bengals needed to acquire another quarterback to their practice squad to fill Grier’s role. They signed the quarterback late Friday morning.

The Cincinnati Bengals will once again be without Joe Burrow throughout the preseason, as the universe plainly does not want the former No. 1 overall pick to enjoy a full offseason of training. Hey, as long as the Bengals return to the Super Bowl, fans will be content.

Anyway, with Burrow’s injury, the Bengals brought in a new quarterback for training camp and preseason. Reid Sinnett, a former San Diego college football player, is the lucky recipient. In 2019 with the Toros, he passed for 3,528 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, according to the San Diego athletics website.

Sinnett was undrafted in 2020 and was first signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but did not make the roster. He signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he has spent the majority of his professional career, however he has yet to appear in a regular-season game. In addition, he spent some time with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021.

Sinnett was recently on the San Antonio Brahmas’ roster, although he did not start for the XFL squad due to an injury that kept him out for the whole season. He is currently a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.
